Jay Rubinoff, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. He has been practicing medicine since 2014, after earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University.

Jay began his career as an inpatient hospitalist PA at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, specializing in Hematology and Oncology. During his time there, he was actively involved in medical education, precepting students and delivering lectures on oncologic emergencies and chemotherapy administration.

He later relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he spent two years practicing General and Vascular Surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Most recently, Jay served for six years as an inpatient PA at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) within the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). There, he contributed to innovative clinical teams focused on advancing treatments for aplastic anemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and sickle cell disease. In addition to his clinical work, Jay played a key role in education and quality improvement—lecturing at NIH Grand Rounds, developing a peer review program for medical documentation, creating the “Approach to…” lecture series, and designing onboarding programs for advanced practice providers. He also led and implemented multiple patient safety initiatives. His commitment to education is further demonstrated by completing the HELP-PA and PALLA Faculty Fellowships.

Originally from New York City, Jay spent much of his life in Bergen and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey, and is excited to return to the area after several years away. He is passionate about patient-centered care and strives to make complex medical information accessible and understandable for his patients.

Outside of medicine, Jay enjoys staying active through working out, rucking, and running with his dog, Bean. He also enjoys watching rugby, reading, and building LEGO.
